Morning Raagas by Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar on 25th April 2015

Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, the maestro from the Mewati Gharana, who started as a child prodigy and became a refined artist under the tutelage of Sangeet Martand Pt. Jasraj, is an artist of international acclaim in the field of Hindustani Classical and Devotional Music. He is a popular artist in India, where he has not only won several awards in his field, but is constantly invited to the top tier concert venues. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has been a talented, hard working, patient and dedicated artist in the vocal classical arena.

Ajinkya Joshi started his initial training in music at the age of seven from Pt. Shantilal Shah. At the age of sixteen, Ajinkya moved to Mumbai and underwent intensive training in tabla for more than ten years from Pt. Suresh Talwalkar. He has accompanied Suresh-ji in various tabla solo concerts all over India. Ajinkya is the recipient of Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Award (1999).

Milind Kulkarni is also a fine product of the “Guru Shishya Parampara”. Milind’s tryst with Harmonium started at the tender age of seven. Over a period of time, under the gentle guidance of his Gurus together with his own efforts, dedication & rigorous Riyaaz – this fine artist is becoming truly exceptional. Pt. Vasantrao Gurav, Pt. Anna Diwan and now Pt. Pramod Marathe as his Gurus and chief architects will surely be proud.
